Alone, Not Alone

‘Alone, Not Alone’ is the title of Tiny Leave’s third album, released in January 2020, the name seems particularly relevant in the current lockdown, and if you’re looking for some beautiful music to listen to, look no further.

This time last year I collaborated with Tiny Leaves, but not in a way you might be expecting. I have known Joel of Tiny Leaves for close to 15 years now, I met him when doing my Art Foundation course in Farnham, and he was in a band with two of my uncles ‘Th’ Great Outdoors’ based nearby, in Guildford.

Joel recalled that I used to be a keen breakdancer back then, and approached me to see if I’d be interested in being a part of the music video for ‘Respair’ a single from his third album ‘Alone, Not Alone’… although I don’t practice much at all anymore, I still train to keep my strength and agility when I can.

The concept for the video was that myself, and a few other people with varying levels of expertise and style of dancing, would move to the music however we felt would fit, and we would not be able to listen to the music before the video recording, so what you see is us reacting to the music the first time we’ve heard it.

Filmed and edited by videographer Joe Almond.
